Hotel guest shocked after ordering £14 flatbread pizza and getting ‘pathetic crust’ with bizarre baked cherry tomatoes
A MAN was left horrified after paying $18 (£14) for pizza at the hotel – and it looked nothing like the picture.
The guest shared the image on Reddit, which left others equally shocked.
The image showed a photo on the room service menu of a mozzarella, tomato and basil pizza with a drizzle of balsamic glaze.
However, what he was served had no tomato sauce, glaze, or basil – and was just a piece of bread with a bit of cheese.
There were also a few small tomatoes placed on top of it, with mysterious greenery on top of it as well.
He wrote: “Picture of flatbread pizza on online menu compared to what was delivered. Room service at expensive Chicago hotel.
“It happened last night around 9:30 p.m.
“I was recovering from the worst hangover of my life and had to take an Uber to the airport at 4am.”
One person said, “I hope you didn’t pay for that shit.”
Another added: “It’s a pizza crime.”
One person claiming to be a chef said: ‘Dude, as a chef, I’d be ashamed to let bullshit like this leave the kitchen.’
Some people shamed him for ordering pizza from room service while he was in Chicago, known for its amazing pizzas, to which the poster replied that he was too hungover to go out .
Others said he needed his money back: “Apart from the fact that you deserve a refund, the GM absolutely needs to know. This is completely unacceptable.”
A former hotel employee has revealed why eggs at the buffet should never be eaten.
And you should also avoid the pastries at the hotel buffet.
It’s not just the hotels either – an easyJet passenger has been left stunned after paying £5 for ‘the airline’s worst food’.
